Tazara Train Operations Suspended

Tazara Train Schedule on Hold Until Further Notice

Bad news for all travellers that planned to hop on Tazara train to Zambia. Tazara management just posted update on suspension of all train operation until further notice. Rumours say Zambian side is operating normally.

Tazara train is popular with many foreign travellers, mostly backpacking crowd and train lovers, who undertake the journey to see the breathtaking landscapes across Tanzania and into Zambia. Among others Tazara route leads via Selous Game reserve which offers spectacular panoramas!

Anyone planning to take the TAZARA passenger train should check with the company when train services are expected to resume.

UPDATE 25.1.2015: Tazara Train operations have been relaunched and are operating normally again.
