Kenya – Synonym for Out of Africa Experience

Kenya could be twin sister country with Tanzania. Despite being situated on the equator, Kenya is not too hot as one could expect. The main rainy seasons last from March to May and between November to December. African winter between June and October is cool and chilly specially mornings and evenings,  so keep this in mind when packing  clothes for trip to Kenya.

Best time to Go on Safari in Kenya – Wildebeest Migration Safaris

This is the time when great migration already crosses the border with Tanzania and it’s the best time to be on safari somewhere in Maasai Mara. If  you want to see this spectacle of millions animals grazing the plains,  or crossing the Mara River, it is a must to go on Safari in this time frame.

If you dont care for wildebeest migration cycle in Maasai Mara, then  you can without worries book safari in Kenya during dry season months  from January through March and July through October. Best parks for safari  include Aberdare National Park, Lewa Wildlife Conservancy, Amboseli National Park, Samburu, Shaba and Buffalo Springs Natinal Reserve, Nairobi National Park, Tsavo East and West National Park and Lake Nakuru.

There are some essentials that are always useful to  have  in your bag when travelling in Kenya.

  • head lamp will save you every time there will be electricity cut, and believe us, it will be!
  • solar charger for gadgets and cameras is perfect saviour when hiking in remote areas and of course, again every time there is power cut.
